Max Kalhammer, Parking and Curb Management Coordinator at the City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services (DTS), presented on the City’s Energy Emissions Reduction Plan for its Transportation System.
Presentation Highlights
The presentation outlined strategies for transitioning to sustainable transportation in Honolulu, with goals of reducing transportation emissions to zero by 2045. Efforts include a city employee travel demand management (TDM) framework, regional parking pricing program, public transportation fleet transition plan, capital fleet transition plan, EV infrastructure action plan, and public engagement/interagency coordination efforts.
